Changing form of Entertainment

I was on vacation last week, and this week, had an access issue at work for a couple of days. This left me with some free time at hand to explore the new form of entertainment — Insta Reels / Tik-Tok. I wanted to see what is it that drives so many people so crazy that renders them spending so much of their valuable time watching short few seconds clips of people from around the world.

I must admit — it is addictive to say the least. I’m a time management freak. So much so, that I feel guilty to myself if I waste time not doing anything productive. During this free time over last couple of weeks, I’ve spent 5–6hrs(that is a lot for me on something like this!) of my time watching these short clips.

I think, there’s very interesting content out there, as long as you are able to resist the addiction. For a change, it’s good to get the entertainment, not from celebrities, but from common people, from around the globe, on the same platform, same songs/dialogs etc.

Here are a few Insta hashtags of content I found very interesting and addictive to watch.

#maihahichallenge: Very cute videos of various people, infants/kids in particular, with graphic effects.

#dontrushchallenge: Loved the simple dance steps, being performed by diverse individuals/groups/families.

#sajdekiyehainlakhon: Just loved what people are doing with this simple one-liner from a bollywood movie.
