Is My Career not My Responsibility?

Hello Readers!

Hope all of you are staying safe and healthy in these unprecedented times.

For the readers, who do not know Hindi, the news is about a National Chess Player, who is now earning his livelihood by selling tea.

I have seen many such posts. Why is this news in the first place? More often than not, these articles suggest that either the government, city or society did not support, hence the talent is struggling.

Is it not the individual’s responsibility to make the right career choices and shape their future? I mean, how different is this as compared to an engineer, actor, doctor, lawyer or a manager struggling because of either lack of upgrading the skills they possess, or due to not doing sufficient to explore opportunities selling their skill better?

I wish all the best for this national chess champion to find the right opportunity that does justice with his skillset.

Please do share your comments with your points of views. I’d love to get feedback and respond.
